 Several weeks ago, I was honored to be a part of an event entitled, Black Girls Rock Entrepreneurs. This event was designed to create networking opportunities as well as celebrate women entrepreneurs in the Milwaukee community.
In support of this event and the great things that these organizers (also women entrepreneurs) in the community, I supported by inviting several people in my circle to celebrate with me. In addition, I promoted it as much as possible. As you may know, the purpose of my business, Life Empowered Consulting Service, is to reach, empower and motivate. What better way to motivate than to support. So, on that evening as they were acknowledging me, I was honored to receive an award, in addition to the certificate for just doing what I desired to do in terms of support. The award was completely unexpected, and talk about a humbling experience. It just reminded that the being the best me is also being authentic. What is the life empowered moment for today? Be the best authentic you possible. Not expecting a reward or acknowledgement, but to best you possible so that when you sleep at night, you feel great about your accomplishments. And trust me, the awards and acknowledgements will come from others as well. Nobody can beat you being you!

Being authentic is not new, in fact, it is so old. I know a lot of people who claim that they are authentic, but that is impossible. There are a handful of people who are just who they seem to be. I know that it is hard to believe, but that is the truth. The is no one who as authentic as they seem to be.
